What are Continents? How many continents are there? Who decided this? Lets look at continents as we know them today from a different perspective… What are continents?

What are Projections? Maps are called projections because map-makers have to project a 3-D surface onto a 2-D map. A map projection is a way to represent the curved surface of the Earth on the flat surface of a map.

All map projections distort the surface in some fashion All maps have a bias and are told from a unique and specific perspective A good globe can provide the most accurate representation of the Earth. BUT… a globe isn't practical for many of the functions for which we require maps.
