23rd Annual New Athletic Directors Workshop The 23rd Annual New Athletic Directors Workshop has been scheduled because of the increasingly important role athletic directors are assuming and the need to be knowledgeable with the myriad of rules and regulations to which member schools must comply. The overwhelmingly positive response to the previous workshop is reason enough for its continuation. This year the workshop will be held over a two-day period Wednesday, August 20, 8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. & Thursday, August 21, 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. CIAC will combine with CAAD to offer new athletic directors (first and second year AD’s, however, all AD's are welcome to attend) a complete overview of CIAC regulations and procedures. CAAD will be offering a training module free of charge for any newly appointed athletic director. All newly appointed athletic directors, those completing their first or second year , and experienced athletic directors, are cordially invited to attend, and principals are urged to encourage their attendance. There is no cost for the CIAC portion of the program. Please register online at www.casciac.org/register by Wednesday, August 15, 2008, so we can prepare an adequate number of presentation materials as well as have an accurate luncheon count. A luncheon will be provided at no charge to those in attendance on both days.
