Presentation transcript:

Use Case 18 – Immunization Registry Updating & Utilization Meaningful Use: Improving Population & Public Health Description: The use case follows a child through several visits to his/her pediatrician for well-child checks and immunizations. Using the HIE’s infrastructure, PHR and EHR systems are able to access and update the same data on the child’s immunization history. The State’s Immunization Information System is receiving updates from provider EHRs and because of this; public health can easily track population immunization rates and trends. 18-1 Setting: Pediatrician /PCP IC Content Creator(22) Non-HITSP (variant) Immunization Msg Msg Creator HITSP Immunization Msg (variant) (HITSP C72) 18-3 Setting: Public Health HITSP Immunization Message Msg Consumer (HITSP C72) QED Clinical Data Source (20) 18-2 Setting: HIE IC – ODD/QED Content Consumer (21) Non-HITSP Immunization Msg Msg Consumer HITSP Immunization Message Msg Creator (C72) B Start B A 18-4 Setting: PHR IC - ODD Content Consumer (21) QED (variant) – issued – by HIE to fulfill ODD Clinical Data Consumer (19) D http://wiki.hitsp.org/docs/C72/C72-3.html#_Toc234722712 C72 All http://www.ihe.net/Technical_Framework/upload/IHE_PCC_Immunization_Content_IC_Supplement_TI_-2009-08-10.pdf IC – Immunization Content Module section X.6 page 14 QED http://www.ihe.net/Technical_Framework/upload/IHE_PCC_Query_for_Existing_Data_QED_Supplement_TI_2008-08-22.pdf Page 45 and Page 77 Table 3.1-1 Query Parameters for PCC-1 3.1.4.6 Expected Actions -- Clinical Data Consumer C 18-5 Setting: Pediatrician IC - ODD Content Consumer (21) QED (variant) – issued – by HIE to fulfill ODD Clinical Data Consumer (19) END Copyright HIMSS-Interoperability Showcase 2010-2011 www.interoperabilityshowcase.org 11/20/2018 5:16 PM
