As this timeline shows, Nadcap began in 1990 with US aerospace prime contractors as subscribers. Within 5 years, European companies were signing up and in 2012, the first Asian subscriber – COMAC in China – became a member. Today, practically every major global player, is involved in Nadcap.

These two graphs show – on the left – the number of audits being done per sector and you can see that the growth has really been from the Europe and Asia sectors. And on the right, how many full time equivalent Nadcap auditors there are per sector – by and large, it’s roughly proportionate to the number of audits.
