Project 11: Security and Privacy of the Communication Channels among IoT Devices REU Student: Tianbo Chen Graduate mentors: Omar Nakhila and Safa Bacanli Faculty Mentor(s): Dr. Turgut and Dr. Zou Week 2 (May 30 – June 2, 2017) Accomplishments: Read 2 research papers on CAPTCHA techniques such as Scene Tagging and defending against 3rd party human attacks. Met with Professor Cliff Zou and found a work-in-progress CAPTCHA project from a previous PhD student to work on Learned basic syntax for PHP to understand the work already done by the previous PhD student. Issues/problems encountered and solutions (if any): Still working on understanding the work already coded Plans for next week: Continue learning PHP Understand the code already written for the proposed new CAPTCHA system and fix the bugs on the mobile platform.
