THE FIVE DISCIPLINES IN THE LEARNING ORGANIZATION PERSONAL MASTERY MENTAL MODELS TEAM LEARNING SHARED VISION SYSTEMS THINKING

SIMPLE BUT . . . . . . . . . DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT STAKEHOLDERS IN THE PLANNING PROCESS? WHO ELSE SHOULD BE INVOLVED? DO YOU BUILD IN ONGOING ACCOUNTABILITY? ARE YOUR TIMELINES REALISTIC AND FLEXIBLE?

THE CURRENT REALITY YOUR MISSION IS BOTH SPECIFIC AND VAGUE MENTAL MODELS BASED ON DISCIPLINE, EXPERIENCE AND GRADE LEVEL COULD LEAD TO HEIGHTENED “STORMING” THERE IS NO ONE “RIGHT” ANSWER AS USUAL YOU MAY FEEL UNDER-RESOURCED YOU DO HAVE A SUPPORT NETWORK

ACTION PLANNING THIS MORNING YOU IDENTIFIED A VISION, NAMED SOME SPECIFIC CLUSTERS OF ACTIONS AND IN THE CAROUSEL STARTED TO LOOK AT WHERE YOU NEED TO GO FROM WHERE YOU ARE NOW. NOW – FOR YOUR SCHOOL OR DISTRICT WITH YOUR TEAM OR, IF ALONE, BY YOURSELF OR WITH OTHERS WHO ARE ALONE . . .

ANSWER THE FOLLOWING: WHERE ARE YOU NOW IN YOUR PLANNING PROCESS? DO YOU NEED OTHERS ON YOUR TEAM? DEVELOP A QUARTERLY PLAN FOR THE NEXT TWELVE MONTHS INCLUDING ONE TO THREE ACTIONS PER QUARTER TO MOVE YOU TOWARDS AN OUTSTANDING PROFICIENCY-BASED SYSTEM: INCLUDE A SUCCESS RUBRIC, ASSIGN NAMES, TENTATIVE MEETING DATES, RESOURCES NEEDED. BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE.
