Genuine obedience is tested by God God has always tested His children from the beginning. Gen. 2:15-17 With Noah. Gen. 9:1-4 (vss. 1-17) With Abraham. Gen. 22:1 With the Israelites. Exo. 15:25; 16:4-5

The gospel seen through Abraham God promised a son (Isaac). Gen. 15:1-5 Abraham believed God: credited to him as righteous. Gen. 15:6 God tested Abraham’s faith. Gen. 22:1-10 (Heb. 11:17) God provides. Gen. 22:11-14

The gospel through children of faith God promised a Son (Jesus). Rom. 9:6-9 Those who believe: credited to each as righteous. Rom. 1:16-17; Rom. 4:4-5 God tests believers. Jas. 1:3; 1 Pe. 1:6-9 God provides. 1 Cor. 10:13
