Before Making a Request Get in touch with us to discuss WLC Participation Request Toolkit Check if there are existing ways to get involved Check that you are an eligible group Check that a similar request has not already been submitted

Public Service Authorities

West Lothian Council Process Application form and Toolkit on WLC website Community Planning & Regeneration Team are the ‘gatekeepers’ Participation Request Panel will validate request If not a valid ‘Community Participation Body’ (CPB), the request can be refused If the group is a valid CPB and all information is present, the group will be notified and a Validation Date will be set

West Lothian Council Process 30 working days to make a decision (or 45 working days for joint requests) Decision Notice issued and published Outcome Improvement Process (OIP) agreed and started within 90 calendar days Report at end of each OIP and annual report No appeals process WLC process to be reviewed after first request
