"The most important leadership quality for CEO's is creativity.” According to Fast Company magazine in 2010

A recent IBM survey of 1,500 CEOs from around the world and across industries named creativity as the top skill needed to succeed in our rapidly changing world. They ranked creativity even higher than rigor, management discipline, integrity, and even vision. The Creative Being

What is Creativity? "Creative activity could be described as a type of learning process where teacher and pupil are located in the same individual." ~ Arthur Koestler   “I define creativity as the process of having original ideas that have value.” ~ Sir Ken Robinson The definition of creativity is subjective. Therefore as a class students will come up with a shared definition so that we are all working with a common understanding. Have students write their own definition of creativity on a sticky note then put it on the wall. Make sure they include their name. Review what students have said. Have students find definitions of creativity, make sure they identify the source - put on sticky notes - put on another wall.  Have students go deeper find different definitions of creativity, make sure they identify source - put on sticky note Have students put one dot/mark on their favorite definition. Keep up the ones with the most dots/marks and remove all others. Continue to vote until there is one generally accepted definition. Create a classroom definition of creativity Then use Tagxedo or Wordle to create word clouds of the definitions.
