Today’s agenda Background of DDCT Review of DDCT 107 Incident Review of DDCT Truck Hunting Incident

DDCT Background January 1, 2011 the updated Car Hire Rules 7 and 8 became active The updated rules eliminate the need to create reclaims for Car Hire Rules 7 and 8 The rules reference special road marks that will be used to show car hire with the equipment owner or that the equipment is to be dismantled DSP7,DVR7,DSP8,SHP7,SHP8 and DEAD

Review of DDCT 107 Incident A 107 incident is for equipment that has been damaged by the handling carrier The damaging carrier will be responsible for Car Hire unless: The car is interchanged to an intermediate carrier The car is reported at a SHOP The car owner does not provide disposition within 15 days of the request

Review of DDCT 107 Incident DDCT 107 Incident corresponds to Car Hire Rule 7 Rule 7 – Reclaim for Damaged Equipment-Handling Line Responsibility LCS will use special road marks to move car hire to and from the car owner DSP7,DVR7,SHP7 and DEAD

Key Events for Incident 107 Description From Road To Road Impacts Car Hire Incident 107 is Created Damaging Carrier No Settlement Value/Disposition Requested 15 has passed from Request DVR7 Yes Settlement Value/Disposition is Provided – Equipment is still on Damaging Carrier Settlement Value/Disposition is Provided within 15 days of Request – Equipment is still on Damaging Carrier Car Owner

Review of DDCT 1/108 Incident A 108 incident is for equipment that has Car Mark Owner responsible defects The Car Mark Owner will be responsible for Car Hire unless: The equipment has remained on the handling carrier for more than 720 hours The equipment has remained on the intermediate carrier for more than 720 hours

Review of DDCT 1/108 Incident DDCT 108,1 Incident corresponds to Car Hire Rule 8 Rule 8 – Reclaim for Defective Equipment-Owner’s Responsibility LCS will use special road marks to move car hire to and from the car owner DSP8,SHP8 and DEAD

DDCT Ending Events Equipment Owner removes the Equipment from Final DDCT Incident Equipment is marked as Repaired L/E Changes Twice from first entered Incident Settlement is Accepted Equipment Owner decides to Dismantle the Equipment

DDCT Truck Hunting Truck Hunting Alerts will be able to automatically create DDCT Rule 1 Incidents Alert on Empty Car, DDCT will wait for the next Loaded movement to open Incident Alert on Loaded Car, DDCT will wait for the next Loaded movement after the car is emptied

DDCT Truck Hunting Truck Hunting Incidents will be treated as a normal Rule 1 Incident once the car is shown empty DDCT LCS will not move Car Hire into owner’s account while the car is loaded If Dispo has not been provided when car is shown empty car hire will remain with handling carrier

DDCT Truck Hunting THD Alert on Loaded Car THD Alert on Empty Car DDCT Incident Opened Car Hire moved to DSP8 Car Hire Moved to DSP8

Key Events for Truck Hunting Description From Road To Road Impacts Car Hire Truck Hunting Incident Created when Equipment is Loaded Handling Carrier Handing Carrier No Disposition is Requested DSP8 Disposition Provided Equipment is shown as Empty through event reporting Yes Equipment is shown as Loaded through event reporting If at anytime the Load/Empty Status changes three times LCS will resume and Car Hire will placed into the current handling carriers account Once Equipment is shown Empty Trucking Hunting is treated as a Rule 1/108 Incident
