Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people, and the campaign sees over 1,600 organisations unite to raise awareness of online safety issues and run events and activities right across the UK.

Avoid potential disasters Spring clean your contacts Set your profiles to private Inform your friends Block anyone who bothers you Be wary of suspicious messages Recognise the fakes Protect your identity

SBAP 1. Take a screenshot of the comment 2. Block the person 3. Show the comment to a responsible adult If the case is more serious then take it up with the police

As a challenge ,following this assembly, we are asking every student in YR 7 to create a poster/leaflet raising awareness of online safety. This can be done solo or in groups. You have until the 2nd March 2018 to submit your entry. The best posters will be put on display and the winner will receive a chocolate treat.
