Point of View Is the perspective from which a story is told Most stories are told from a first-person or a third-person point of view.

Point of View: First-person The narrator is a character in the story and and can tell only what he or she sees, knows, thinks, or feels. The narrator refers to himself or herself in the story with first-person pronouns like I and me.

Point of View: Third person The narrator is not a character in the story, but describes events from the “outside.” The narrator refers to all the characters with third-person pronouns like he, she, and they.

Point of View: Omniscient and Limited Third-person Omniscient third-person point of view The narrator reveals what every character in the story is thinking and feeling. Limited third-person point of view The narrator reveals only a single characters thoughts and feelings.
