RDP LEADER Funding in Co Longford Welcome LEADER in Longford LEADER 2014-2020 Idea to Application

LEADER Evaluation Committee 11/20/2018 LEADER 2014-2020 in Longford Local Action Group (LAG) Implementing Partner Financial Partner LEADER Evaluation Committee Leader is delivered in Co Longford through a partnership approach. The LCDC is the LAG and has ultimate responsibility for the delivery of the programme Longford Community Resources clg will be responsible for the day to day management of the programme – working with promoters to develop their funding applications, accept applications etc Longford County Council will be responsible for maintaining and retaining all the financial aspects of the programme. If you are not familiar with LCDC - The Local Community Development Committee was established as part of local government reform in 2014. The LCDC comprises of representatives of the Local Authority, state agencies, community and voluntary sector and social partners.

RDP (LEADER) 2014-2020 (€7.5m) Themes & Sub-Themes 11/20/2018 Theme 1: Economic Development, Enterprise Development and Job Creation Rural Tourism Enterprise Development Theme 2: Social Inclusion Basic Services Targeted at Hard to Reach Communities Rural Youth Theme 3: Rural Environment Protection and Sustainable use of Water Resources Protection and Improvement of Local Biodiversity Rural Towns Just over €7.5m is available to Co Longford over the life time of the programme 3 themes which reflect the key challenges facing rural Ireland with regard to Economic Recover, Job creation, Social Inclusion and the rural environment. Each theme is defined further through a number of sub-themes which reflect the key areas in need of greatest support This funding will be invested in innovative projects under these themes that have the greatest potential to promote and support sustainable development in Co Longford Broadband Development of Renewable Energy
