Requirements

Two questions based on the “Course Big Idea” Questions (see next slide) Two Universal Theme Questions – What lessons can be learned about life or the world from the literature we have studied this year? How are these texts universal? How do they have relevance for us? Question Categories

Course “Big Idea” Questions What IS literature? Why do we study it, and what is the place of literature in society and the world? How do viewpoint and bias affect our perception of reality? What qualities must one possess to be a survivor? What must one do to be considered a hero? What makes on a strong and effective leader? Does love conquer all? Are our nightly dreams important? What is the position of morality in society and in life, and who gets to decide the parameters of morality? Where is the line between right and wrong? Is it possible to be redeemed from anything? What are the position and purpose of dreams and goals? Are dreams necessary in life? Despite our differences, what makes us all the same? Course “Big Idea” Questions
