Automate Driver Payments And Hauling/Billing Statements Michele Dugger Team Lead

Purpose Enter 1 Ticket to : Pay Drivers Bill for Hauling How to use Sales and Rates Maintenance to accommodate various driver commissions and hauling charges. How driver commissions and hauling charges are reported.

Driver Rates-Pay Drivers Ability to set up multiple Rates: Have 1 Rate Code per Driver OR have 1 Rate for All Drivers 2 ways to Pay Drivers: Mileage Rate Flat Amount Per load Pay a Fuel Surcharge: Based on Number of Miles Tier

Pay Driver using Mileage Rate:

Additional Rates by Property: Use 1 Driver Rate even if you have a special rate for a few properties Add to the current Rate Replace the Rate completely

Hauling Rates: Add Additional Rates Mileage Rate $65.00 + Wait time $20.00 Chain on 1 time $ 25.00 = Total Driver Pay $110.00

Hauling Rate: Flat Rate

Pay a Fuel Surcharge 2 Calculation methods: # of miles- uses a Fuel Price Index and Base Price to calculate surcharge Tier Based-uses the Fuel Price Index to determine the percentage to calculate surcharge

Set up and maintain Fuel Index

Calculation Method: #Miles Based Fuel Charge Calculation: Posted Fuel Index Price $3.75 - Base Fuel Price $3.30 = $0.45 Fuel Price difference $0.45 * Mileage 100 = $45.00 Fuel Charge Calculation: Posted Fuel Index Price - Base Fuel Price * Mileage

Calculation Method: Tier Based Posted Fuel Price 3.75 = Factor .1 Fuel Surcharge = Factor .1 * Mileage Rate $65.00 Fuel Surcharge paid to Driver = $6.50

Accommodates many types of commission payments!

Driver Payments Set up Drivers in Payroll as: Company employed Drivers- typically an hourly or salaried employee Owner/Operators-contracted to haul oil for the First Purchaser company Third Party Drivers- typically a Hauling company

Ready to Pay A Driver! When a Ticket is entered you will see the Driver Commissions calculated on the Offload tab:

Hauling Income Track Hauling Income by: Lease (*LEASE) The Person/Party that the Freight was billed to (*BILLTO) Truck -Hauling Income account must have Vehicle Sub-Table attached- (*TRUCK)
