Divorce And Remarriage

Why Study This Subject? It is a bible subject. The Bible says much about this subject. The Bible, being our authority should be the determining factor when controversies arise. It is necessary, because of the error that is taught by different people. We should study to be approved by God.

Why Study This Subject? IGNORANCE The problems with Ignorance. If people do not know the truth, how can they determine error? You do not know the right thing to do. James 4:17 “Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does not do it, to him it is sin.” (sin is transgression of the law) Why is this dangerous?

Why Study This Subject? Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children”.

Why Study This Subject? When trying to determine causes for the departure of God’s laws, we are really left with two options. Rebellion or Ignorance (1 Tim. 6:3-5). Most of our brotherhood is ignorant by choice (2 Tim. 4:3-4). Some are ignorant because our preachers have failed in presenting the "whole council of God" (Acts 20:27)

Why Study This Subject? 1 Timothy 6:3-5 “If anyone advocates a different doctrine, and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain.”
