Monday, December 17, 2012 I can identify literary elements in order to be able to apply those elements on mid-term exam. I can analyze increasingly challenging text and create higher order thinking questions for Socratic Seminar . I can create a well developed essay by applying literary elements.

Bell Ringer Write 2 well developed argumentative paragraphs on the following prompt. Which do you prefer- Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays? Explain Why? In argumentative writing you must address the opposing idea/view.

Review Rotations Group 1- Read the passage-each person develop 5 higher order thinking questions for a Socratic Seminar tomorrow. Complete the literary elements review sheet. You may use textbooks or dictionaries if needed. Group 2- Writing Review with teacher. You will need pencil and paper. You will read, annotate, and discuss steps for essay writing.
