2 British Crime Posters By Rhys Funnell

The title is large and bold and displays the name of the film ‘Snatch’ which makes it stand out and is very eye catching. Snatch The centre of attention is the characters which are shown in the middle of the poster which displays all the main characters you will see in the film standing together or people who at least play a big part in the film. Brad Pitt is centrally framed because he is very well known and very famous within the acting community therefore works as a good selling point to the film. The names of all of the key actors in the film. Also in this particular there are big names i.e. ‘Jason Statham’, ‘Brad Pitt’ and ‘Vinnie Jones’ which are some big names in acting that make it look a lot more appealing due to well known and good actors in the film. The production information is displayed nearer the bottom usually underneath everything else which tells you about the producers, actors, distributors and film companies that the film is involved with and also production companies. The date isn’t actually clarified but this is also used to the advantage of building suspense as you know it is coming soon but you do not quite know when exactly so leaves excitement for the audience.

This is used to sell the film more and already label it as one of the best in its categories. It also sells it as the funniest film therefore making it seem more appealing to the audience. They also include a link at the bottom of the poster to their website so is also helping the website as well as the film. The names of all the actors are displayed at the very top of the poster and also the fact there are a few big names in there when it comes to film makes it a lot more attractive as some of the actors are very well known. The title is displayed fairly central to the poster and is also displayed in large letters and also displays the fact the film is ‘18’ rated on the end of the title. This part of the text is usually seen at the bottom of the poster which includes all legal information and also all information about people involved with the film. The imagery used displays some of the main characters in the film but not just antagonists but protagonists as well. There is also a point of interest which in this case is the shotguns.
