The Greatest Taco Shop Ever Algebra Assessment

Your Salary If you’re paid $100 every week, but you average the same amount of tip money that you made today each day of your first week, how much money will you make if you work seven days straight. Use an algebraic expression to determine your answer.

Your Customers Word is spreading about your little taco establishment and your customer list is growing. If you quadruple (that’s today multiplied by four each day) the amount of customers that you had today each coming day, how many customers would you have after the 6th day?

Tomatoes It costs 15 cents to buy a tomato. Each day, you get a new shipment of tomatoes. Because business has been increasing steadily, each day the delivery contains 13 more tomatoes than the day before. If you received 9 tomatoes on the first day, how much will pay for tomatoes on your 19st day in business?

Investing After your fourth day on the job, you decide to invest your total tips. You put your tips into a bank account that gives you 10% interest. The rate is calculated based on how much you put in the first day. You get 10% of that amount added to your account each day. How much money will you have saved after one year?

Advertising It costs $325 to film a commercial. Each time the commercial runs, it costs another $7.95. 15 commercials will be run. Printing posters costs a flat rate of $32. Each additional poster printed costs $1.50. 8 posters are needed. Printing menu flyers costs a flat rate of $5. Each additional menu flyer costs $0.30. 350 menu flyers are needed. You have $600 in the advertising fund. Will you have enough money to run this ad campaign?
