During our forty-eight years of service to our communities, we have aided 2,507,042 students with $2,507,042 in scholarship awards. This past year, our broad-based screening committee reviewed 143 applications. We were able to assist 97 deserving students with a total of $137,650.

How We Help… Administer capital funds from established donors Oversee annual scholarships from individuals and organizations Raise additional scholarship funds through Dollars for Students Our foundation assists local college and graduating high school students in three ways: we administer capital fund accounts which have been established by donors We also administer annual scholarships that individuals and organizations award students pursuing a higher education. we conduct the Dollars for Students fund raising activities

Booklets and applications…. Week of December 17th booklets and applications distributed by Counseling Dept. One Booklet – Local Scholarships One Booklet - Foundation Scholarships Both Booklets are available on HS Website – Counseling Dept.

READ BOTH BOOKLETS THOROUGHLY To decide eligibility Determine criteria And application requirements Local scholarships need individual applications Only ONE application needs to be completed for ALL Foundation Scholarships.

Foundation Scholarships Two types of categories exist for Foundation Scholarships….. NEED or NON-NEED There are more need-based scholarships available to students and different requirements….Please review the requirements carefully Each application must include a personal letter from the student…Guidelines listed in booklet. Some scholarships require an additional essay

NEED BASED REQUIREMENTS More scholarships available Don’t presume that your family makes too much Income Tax information needs to be submitted Viewed only by Screening Chair and on occasion myself No one on the review committee knows which applicants are need based Each screener signs a confidentiality agreement The Foundation understands the importance of the trust that you and your student places in us
