(a) Describe the trend shown in Source A. (4 marks) Identify the trend precisely - an increase in private car ownership in China - a decrease in year-on-year increase of private car - an increase in new energy vehicle ownership in China - a decrease in year-on-year increase of new energy vehicle Comparison e.g. rate of increase Concluding remark e.g. more popular, the proportion is increasing, market enlarged etc.

(b) Explain two challenges that car manufacturing industry in China might face? (6 marks) Identify the challenges precisely e.g. foreign competition, traditional car industry Vs new energy car Fully supported by Sources A and B e.g. foreign competition - Source A: increasing sale of vehicles - Source B: middle class “China dream” : lower tariff : luxury brand

(b) Explain two challenges that car manufacturing industry in China might face?
