Erosion Research Project Performance Task Name Hour

EXPECTATIONS Students will assume the role of a scientist researching the disadvantages and possible solutions to the problem of erosion caused by humans related to construction, farming and deforestation. Conduct research using a variety of resources Complete a T-Chart summarizing information. Create a Power Point presentation Give an introduction Description of the advantages and disadvantages of the human activity Explain possible solutions for erosion prevention and/or control

Topic Introduction Sentence- Introduction of the topic Description and definition of the Human Activity PICTURE

Topic Advantages 2 Details describing purposes/ advantages of Human Activity Picture

Topic Disadvantages 3 Disadvantages of the Human Activity (based on research notes) Justify- Explain Why are they are disadvantages? PICTURE

Topic Possible Solutions Based on your research notes, include at least 2 possible solutions/techniques that are being used to prevent/control erosion. PICTURE

Research Notes T-Chart is hand written Shows adequate notes and details that support the final project. Includes the resources used. Is turned in with project on due date.

Final Check Information is organized, neatly typed or written First, last name and hour are included in the file name. Save a copy to your documents on your assigned computer. Upload to one drive to access and complete from home (see next slide for how to). Upload final completed document to your hours assignment folder ins Schoology by Tuesday, November 25.

How to Upload to One Drive Go to Office 365 Live on internet Outlook pops up. Find One Drive-top right Find upload-middle of page (arrow) Another window will pop up-request file name Select the file to upload-from Libraries-Documents File will appear in One drive in the Office 365 page.

How to Upload to Schoology 1. Check: Files is saved with your name in the file name. 2. Click on the submit assignment icon right side of screen under submissions. A new window will pop up that says upload. 3. In the upload window click on the paper icon, the word file will appear and a window to search and browse for your project will appear. 4. Search for your file where ever you saved it. Students were told to write where they saved their final copy down. Students using my classroom computers were told to first save it into the Libraries-Documents folder. From there, they were to save it to their Google/One drive so they could work on it at home if needed. See Power point Slide 10 for how to save to Google/One Drive. 5. Once located: highlight the file. It will load into the upload window where you can now see it. Then click submit.
