High School Report Cards David Huckleberry Roosevelt Room April 21st 9:30am – 10:15am

BEFORE YOU BEGIN Check the Preferences of Term, Grading Period, Grading Scale, and Grading Method If this is the first Report Card of the year, have you set the Grading Scale and Report Card Memo if you wish those to display? Check for Open Grade Books

Checking Preferences Go to Classroom…Check Preferences. In this view, you will see the grading scale, grading method and finalized status for each grade book. Use the filter at the top to narrow down the view to a particular grading scale, teacher, grading method, etc. If there are errors in the settings for a grade book, touch right on the grade book from this view. Then go to Tools…Change Preferences to correct the settings.

Go to Guidance…Open Grade Books. Choose the term and grading period you wish to review and then it will display all the grade books that have not yet been finalized. In this view, touch the email icon to send an automated email to the teacher reminding them to finalize their grade books. Once the email has been sent, the email icon will turn to a green checkmark to let you know that the teacher has already been emailed.

Middle/High School Report Cards If you choose create them for a homeroom, you will be able to enter in the specific homeroom teacher. If you choose to create them for selected students, you will be able to checkmark the specific students or grade level you wish to run them for. Choose the term and grading period. Select if you wish for attendance and GPA/Rank to be on the report cards. Decide how to sort the report cards and whether you want percent or open TBR balance reminders on them.

Publish to Family Access Go to Classroom… Select….Report Cards. Select the students to publish the report cards for. Touch “Publish Report Cards”.

Publish to Family Access You are asked if you want to notify the students and parents that report cards are now available. If you answer “No”, the report cards will still be published and available on the family access. If you answer “Yes”, the mass email dialog will open and you can complete the mass email to notify parents/students about the report cards being available.
