What is a Ribosome? Ribosomes are the protein builders of the cell. Tiny organelles that are either freely moving or in small clusters They are found in all living cells

Where Are They Located Prokaryotes: Free forms in cytoplasm and protoplasm Eukaryotes: attached to the outer membrane of endoplasmic reticulum for use outside of cell

Function Their function in a cell is in protein synthesis where they pair each codon of the messenger RNA strand with the appropriate amino acid.
