Purpose The Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) helps Service members and Veterans pursue their educational goals and earn degrees or certifications both during and after their service.

DANTES is a Department of Defense (DoD) agency that provides leadership and support through partnerships across the education community.

DANTES offers programs such as: Certification Programs Counselor Support Programs Distance Learning Programs Tuition Assistance Programs Examination Programs Higher Education Programs Reserve Component Programs

Other Programs Offered include: College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Service members Opportunity College (SOC) SOC Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program DANTES Standardized Tests Troops to Teachers

Summary DANTES is a DoD organization dedicated to supporting service members and Veterans through the life long journey of pursuing education and career goals and ultimately, improving one’s quality of life.  DANTES offers many different programs and services that support all of the DoD and Coast Guard voluntary education components.
