BBC: Aim & Structure BBC to provide focused skills and knowledge and connect participants to potential investor networks for business opportunities in e-waste, as well as European recyclers Envisaged target group are: Entrepreneurs, SME e-waste businesses looking to scale-up e-waste start-ups for mentoring and improving business Maximum 20 businesses (1 participant per business) Participants selected through application and referral process Participation fee of EUR 650 covers economy flights to Berlin, accommodation and meals during BBC. Eligibility Businesses which contribute to circular economy for electronic waste: e.g. in recycling, repair/re-use, reverse logistics, collection, app-based solutions Companies should be based in Africa, Asia or Latin America. Companies from other regions may only be considered if in partnership with local companies in these regions. Instructions on how to apply READ CAREFULLY THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW… Fill in the slides describing your business idea as clearly as possible; be precise, not generic. Do not provide overall or general context (e-waste as global problem, impacts,…). Reviewers are experienced. Stick to your own business/idea Try to stick to the number of slides provided. Only add slides if necessary Be precise, clear and go straight to the point Attach your recent CV or a company presentation/leaflet to the email. Fee waiver All applicants may request for a full or partial fee waiver. A full waiver is for EUR 650. A partial fee-waiver can be for any value upto EUR 650. Please indicate the reason for requesting a fee-waiver (see next slide). Fee waivers will be granted based on merit and need. We do not guarantee the number or value of fee waivers, if any, that can be granted as it is dependent on availability of funding. In case applicants indicate they are unable to participate without a fee waiver, their application would not be selected in case of unavailability of funds for fee waiver.
