What is Sudan Darfur? Darfur is a region in the western part of Sudan. This country was first named Dardaju Darfur has about 6 million people living in it

Genocide War More then 200,000 people have been killed in Darfur since 2003 More than 1,600 damaged /destroyed homes and villages.

The Janjaweed was a rebel group that wanted the farmers and peasants land for the oil that was under it The farmers and peasants wanted their land so they fought back for their property which led to a war

Approximately 25 million people survived the attacks in Darfur. The genocide war is still going on since 2005
