A Peek At What We Are Learning A Peek at our Week Upcoming Dates Reminders 10/9: Half Day of School 10/9: PTA Meeting 7:00 10/18: Reflections Due 10/22: Duathlon 1:00-3:00 p.m. Remember to pack a healthy snack.  Make sure to return green folders to school every day. Thank you for the snacks and supplies for room 19. Reading Students are identifying text features in non-fiction books. They are looking at the photographs/pictures and comparing them to fiction books. Students are also identifying verbs and using them orally in complete sentences. SOL 1.10d, 1.1e Writing Students are using the alphabetic code to write unknown words phonetically. SOL1.12c Math Students are sorting and classifying concrete objects into appropriate categories based on one or two attributes, such as size, shape, color, and/or thickness. SOL 1.13 Social Studies Students are recognizing the symbols and traditional practices that honor and foster patriotism in the United States.
