Year 6 Parent’s Meeting 11th January 2018

First of all…

UNIFORM May we take this opportunity to remind you that it is the responsibility of Year Six to set the standards for the schools with regards to both their behaviour and their uniform. Please make sure that your child is in full school uniform every day. Hairstyles should be traditional and earrings are not allowed in school. Please refer to the school policy regarding uniform if you have any queries or ask your class teacher. Numerous letters have been sent out about this and the school has a zero-tolerance policy to any pupil not following school rules. Thank you in advance for your continued co-operation.

Website We will keep adding to the maths/literacy and Year 6 section on the website.

SATs- 14th-17th May Reading, Maths and SPAG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar assessed) Writing is Teacher Assessed in June, taking into account the Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPAG) ability of the pupil. Assessed SPAG scores will still be given separately There is NO science SAT test, although some schools will be picked randomly (but scores of schools or individual pupils will not be published)

There is no levels, but a new scaled score approach will be introduced. A score of 100 will represent the ‘national standard.’ Above this will show your child is above national standards, below this will show your child is below national standards. Every mark matters. https://michaelt1979.wordpress.com/2017/12/ 30/testvideos/
