The White House

The White House is the official residence of the President of the United States of America, and has been for over 200 years. It is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., the capital city of the USA.Washington, D.C.USA

It is a sample of imagine built to stone and honorary, a sample of freedom and a great state made of liberty of slaves and understanding of life. It is like no place of other, a house allying past and present. Now, you will join my journal in the time and the date, meeting the people, and hearing the stories that they built this powerful place and its soul. This is not just an office, or a monument or a home.. It is the America idea, known as the White House.

From the outside, it remains as a distance symbol, but inside, the idea comes alive. This is the finest house, and this is the best house. Its the best house because theres something far more important than numbers of people who served; far more important than numbers of rooms, how big it is; far more important than numbers of magnificent pieces of art. This house has a great heart, and that heart comes from those who served.

WHO? Now, the White House is so universally recognized, we can hardly imagine that it hadnt existed. But almost 13 years after the USA had declared the independence, the city Washington was still nothing. In 1789, congress agreed to build a new capital city. By the November of 1799, and many forces were acting against building this new city. Washington wanted the city be built. He wanted it in the middle of the country. He wanted it on the Potomac River. And he was determined to have these buildings because in having these buildings he would have his capital.

He Since that time the idea of a president is new, no one knows how a presidents house would look like. Thomas Jefferson suggested a competition among the best plan, and 500dollars was offered to the best campaign. From all around to design a fairly large choice. Irish architect James khodorkovsky,. his 18th century Britain country villa according to the prevailing style, the Italian architect cypress radii European modeling design with Virginia, in a white limestone. When it was finished, it was in Vince.

There are about 100 full time employees in the White House. And today they are all public servant. But as late as 1910, almost all white house staff; however they were nurse, clerk or office glove, were hired by the president and paid to their own pocket. The White House residence staffs still serve at the pleasure of the president. But they are managed by someone called chief usher. ( ) He is a conductor, directing everyone from the bellmen to the plumbers, and makes the house work.. In addition of these things you have seen, therere still many things that are behind. One of the employees said: This is still a home, when other activities are going on, the little boy (the child of the president) is getting ready to school. Most of staff end of a career here in the White House they have a feeling of love and responsibilities to the presidency and in working in the house. And we dont just see it, we actually participate in it. Behind and since, to be short, but we do it. We just think it must be the best place was to be.

When you walked in the white house and know you were living there, its really a hard feeling to describe….You think… Im waking into this White House, all these other people walked before me, and all the things went on…I mean that all the things are inspiring.

Although Washington built the House, he died first. John Adam worried about the cost of such a big house, but the House finally attracted him. On a night of November in 1800, Adams became the first president sleeping in the House. When he wake up next morning, he dont know that is why, but it seemed time stopped in that moment. You might understand thats the presidents first express of the White House: Now this is the presidents house, it is almost nature and beautiful. He said: Bless I didnt disturb the silence here.

Washington was building more than a house, he was building the presidency. The house remains one of the presidents most useful tools.

There is one thing makes the House an attraction, is the fact that a family really is living there, everyday. So the House is not only a political stage but also a human touch of a family live there. Tomorrow it is all over started again, and everyday. Families will come and go, just like other s. These people are filling the House, and give it life. And America idea endures.
