West Virginia Department of Education STEM Vision: The vision of WVDE STEM is to provide equity and increase access to STEM education, preparing and inspiring generations of learners to become leaders who meet the challenges of the state’s emerging economy and contribute to the global society through innovation, collaboration, and creative problem- solving. Mission: The mission of WVDE STEM education is to engage all students in the STEM subjects; promote interdisciplinary STEM literacy across the curriculum; and provide equitable access to STEM majors and career pathways.
