Heaven Everyone wants to go to heaven and in fact most people think they will go to heaven.

Heaven The Bible is the only book in history that tells us of heaven. There are numerous old books that speak of a place like heaven, paradise, nirvana, Xanadu, etc., but only the Bible tells us of heaven as God has it in mind for those who are faithful.

Heaven Heaven is described as… A City – Heb. 11:10 – a city whose builder is God A Kingdom – Matt. 25:34 – a kingdom prepared for you by God A House – John 14:2 – a house prepared for you by Jesus

Heaven is the place of God. Heaven is not a nebulous, ethereal, abstract idea that is experienced in a dreamy state of exquisite perfection. Heaven is the place that God has specifically created for His children. Heaven is the place of God.

Heaven Heaven is the place of God. Rev. 21:22-27 – an image of heaven There is an idea that heaven will be what you want it to be. Rev. 22:3 – the throne of God is there and His servants will serve Him

Heaven It is not the perfect golf course, or the perfect place to have a picnic. There is not the perfect rock and roll group of the ideal line-up for the perfect baseball game. It is not your favorite food or movie.

Heaven Everyone should long for heaven. It is the home of and for the soul. Zech.12:1 – God forms the spirit James 2:26 – the body without the spirit is dead Eccl. 12:7 – the spirit returns to God who gave it

Heaven Our goal should be for that time when our spirit leaves our body. Luke 10:20 – Jesus tells the 70 to rejoice because their names are written in heaven Heb. 12:22-23 – you have come to Mount Zion… registered in heaven

Heaven What is this register? It is the Book of Life. Phil. 4:3; Rev. 3:5, 13:8, 17:8, 20:15, 21:27 This book was referenced in the Old Testament. Ex. 32:32-33; Psalm 69:27-28

Heaven This is what heaven is, the place for the faithful where they will be made perfect. Rom. 8:29 – we will be conformed to the image of His Son 1 John 3:2 – we will be like Him

Heaven This transformation will not happen on earth, it will only happen in heaven. This is the place we should long for. It is the place that we should want for our children.

Heaven This is where God is. It is the place we should want for everyone. This is where God is.

Heaven We must want this first. Have you considered the heaven that God has made? Do you really want to go to heaven? What will you do for it?
