Classroom Rules

Be Respectful. Show respect to your teacher and classmates at all times. Do not talk when your teacher or classmates are addressing the class. Treat everyone in this classroom with kindness and courtesy at all times.

Be Punctual. Arriving tardy to class is a distraction to everyone in the room. When you are tardy, you miss key instructional time. Make a habit of being on time each day.

Be Prepared. Class will begin every day as soon as the bell rings. You are expected to come to class each day with your materials and promptly start on bell work.

Be engaged. Sleeping, talking, and being on your phone in class will not bode well for you in English II Advanced Honors. You are expected to be engaged in the lesson and activities every single day.

No food or drink in class– no exceptions!!!!! Failure to comply with this rule will result in discipline steps.

You may not leave your seat until the bell rings. There will be no lining up at the door to wait on the bell. If you are out of your seat before the bell rings, you WILL be written up.

I should NEVER see your phone out in class. Unless we are doing an activity that requires electronic devices, if I see one, I’m taking it. No questions asked, no excuses, no second chances

Ms. Sweeton reserves the right to alter, add, and/or remove classroom rules and procedures at any time, based upon the behavior of her students.
