Mark 2:27 – The Sabbath is not to burden or confine us but to enrich and bless us. Whatever deed is helpful or relaxing is proper for the Sabbath. It is a time for worship and family.

Mark 11:29-30 – Jesus said if they were concerned with authority they would have been followers of John the Baptist. All Jews considered him to be a prophet of God. Mark 12:15-17 – We are to pay all the taxes we owe and give our tithes and offerings to God. This makes it clear it is a sin to cheat on our taxes.
