“A Sound Church” “Opposes Societies & Unscriptural Cooperative Arrangements as adjuncts to the church.” Some are run by a “Pastor” Filled with worldliness This is Not Soundness

“A Sound Church” Filled with Adulterers & Adulteresses False Teaching on Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage This Is Not Soundness!

A “Sound Church”- is NOT: One With a “Name” Sardis – Revelation 3:1 Not a Sound Church! Laodicea – Revelation 3:15-17 “wretched, miserable, poor, blind & naked.”

A “Sound Church”- is NOT: One With Right Doctrine Ephesus – Acts 20:20,26,27,31; 1 Timothy 1:3 Revelation 2:1,2,4,5 “left your first love” “I will come to you quickly & remove your lampstand.. Unless you repent”

A “Sound Church”- is NOT: One With Right Doctrine Corinth – Acts 18:8 “hearing, believed & baptized” Acts 18:10,24; 19:1 1 Corinthians 1:5-7; 15:1; 3:1-4 “walked as men”; Chapters 5 & 11

A Sound Church IS: One that seeks Scriptural Organization- 1. Scripturally Un-Organized – Acts 14:23 2. Scripturally Organized – Philippians 1:1 3. Unscripturally Organized – Unqualified Men Serving – 3 John 9 4. Unscripturally Unorganized – Qualified Men Not Appointed – Titus 1:5

A Sound Church IS: One where All Members Know Their Place- Elders are Not Followers – 1 Peter 5:2 Deacons are Not “semi-elders” – 1 Timothy 3:9 Evangelists are Not Errand Boys or Handymen – and Not the “Pastor.” Saints Not just Pew Fillers who work through others – 1 Corinthians 15:58

A Sound Church IS: One that demands Plain, Pointed Preaching- 2 Timothy 4:2-4 “preach the word… ready in season & out of season” Want to be Warned about Dangerous Brethren – Acts 20:28- 32; 1 Timothy 4:1-3; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; 2 Peter 2:1; 1 John 4:1

A Sound Church IS: One that is Not Content- Always trying to do BETTER! Philippians 1:3-5 “fellowship in the gospel” Philippians 4:10-18 “sent once & again for my necessities” Philippians 3:13,14 “press on” Colossians 1:3-6,8,9,10

Think about this: IF the Soundness of this church were determined by your personal soundness – would it be Sound in the Eyes of the Lord?
