Presentation transcript:

Apply today at www.clmsavid.com Deadline is April 20th! What is AVID? Advancement Via Individual Determination AVID is a college-prep program designed to increase the number of high-school graduates who enter 4-year colleges and universities. AVID has a success rate of 90% of its graduates going on to 4-year colleges or universities. AVID students enroll in the most rigorous college preparation curriculum of their high school. AVID students become involved in extracurricular school and community activities. Apply today at www.clmsavid.com Deadline is April 20th! During the middle years, AVID students learn the basic fundamentals and skills required for independent work habits needed for the years to come. For instance, note-taking, studying, asking questions and seeking clarity from instructors. Also, staying organized, exposure to high school and college expectations by going on field trips, building sense of family/community, and preparing students to enroll in Advance Placement Courses in high school are some of the things we do in AVID!
