Cyclone PRIDE at Watertown High School A PBIS Production

As part of the PBIS program, WHS has established several clear expectations for the behaviors we require throughout our school. Our plan is based on recognizing five attributes of success: Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Encouragement (PRIDE).

You will see these PRIDE posters throughout the building You will see these PRIDE posters throughout the building. For each attribute, there are specific behaviors that will help you to be model citizens at WHS and beyond!

What is a PRIDE Pass? A purple pass handed out to students by faculty and staff when a student is demonstrating the qualities of PRIDE.

What can I do with a PRIDE Pass? Frame it, hang it on the fridge, show mom and dad, brag to your friends, call Grandma! OR, you can redeem it one of two ways: Redemption Counter: Starting October 6th, every Friday in the small cafeteria (during breakfast), there is a Redemption Counter where you can exchange PRIDE passes for items and privileges, such as candy and snacks, school supplies, Spirit wear, or school privileges OR Enter your PRIDE passes into a bi-weekly drawing by placing your pass in the lock box located in the map area. Prizes include movie passes, free pizza, ice skating passes, and more!

Let’s break down PRIDE, and focus on Professionalism this month

What does Professionalism at Watertown High School look or sound like?

“An individual who shows consideration and respect for others demonstrates a commitment to professionalism. Likewise, a person who keeps his or her word, demonstrates loyalty, and exceeds expectations is demonstrating professionalism” -Mr. Brumfield Professionalism is showing up, to give all you've got to a task while demonstrating respect, integrity, and appropriate actions and dress. -Mrs. Meeker Professionalism to me is being honest, respectful, and having a positive attitude while making the most of what you do.  Showing up ready to work, and to meet the needs of your job.  -Mrs. Fregoe-Cronk “Professionalism is being on time, dressing appropriately according to the work environment, being respectful towards coworkers, following job expectations, and limiting phone use to appropriate times throughout the work day.” –Ms. Yancy “…Show up on time and do your job…” -Mrs. Ginger “Do the right thing…” -Mr. Sovie “Doing what is expected of you…” -Mrs. Boomhower

What does professionalism mean to you?

Nearly every professional setting has a dress code or requires a uniform, and your job as a student is to adhere to the WHS dress code… Every job or profession has a dress code, follow the WHS dress code…

Dress Code… The Dress Code is outlined on page 13 in the Student Code of Conduct…

Dress to impress every day Dress to impress every day! Respect yourself and your school; show PRIDE! It is never too early to start practicing professionalism.
