Mathematics Department 9 th Grade Curriculum Algebra 2 (ALP) Geometry Algebra 1 (majority of students) Intro to Algebra

Intensive Math 9 & 10 ( Double Dose) Successfully implemented in 2008 – 2009 All students not meeting proficiency on 8 th grade CMT or 9 th grade CAPT practice test will be required to take 2 math classes in freshman and / or sophomore year to review areas of weaknesses with the goal of passing CAPT in 10th grade.

Students are placed in levels designated Honors Level 1 Level 2 All levels prepare students for college.

Course Placement and Level are determined by: CMT Scores Teacher Recommendation Grades Student Readiness & Motivation Counselor Recommendation Parent Input
