Mt. Pelee (pay-lay) April 25th to May 8th, 1902 West Indies Mt pelee eruption was from april 25th to may 8th 1902. mt pelee is in the west indies

40,000 people were killed. Most people were killed my pyroclastic flow. Pycroclastic flow is fast moveing of hot gasses and rocks. Gases can reach up to 1,830F Mt pelee is a stratovolcano.

in the rock Mt pelee destroyed the city of st pierre. Its 4,583 above sea level. Killed 15% of the island people

Thee spine was just over 100 meter wide At the peak it stood 350 meter from the rim of the crater Through the cracks in the rock you could sometime is the glow of the lava

The name pelee comes from the goddess pele Pele is the volcano goddess. She is a Hawaiian goddess

mt pelee is right in between north America and south America mt pelee is right in between north America and south America. Mt pelee is located on the island of Martinique in the caribbeans.

Mt pelee is in the Caribbean plate It’s a convergent bourndary

This happened at a convergent boundary This eruption happened because of the two ocean plates colliding and one went under the other

This could happen anywhere there is a volcano and where it is by two ocean plates

Hawaii is at risk of this Make sure this is a to evacuate Stay on why watch of volcano activity
