Setting Up Google Classroom Using a Smart Device

Before you Begin… Required Apps for your Smart Device

Connect to WCPSS Internet On your smart device, go to your Wi-Fi settings

Connect to WCPSS Internet If you are connected to Lunenburg, click on “forget this network.”

Connect to WCPSS Internet You then manually add WAKE-BYOD and click JOIN.

Start Up Google Drive App... Sign in using your WAKE E-MAIL ADDRESS (first initial, middle initial, full last name @students.wcpss.net If you have a popular last name, you might have a number after your last name (ask your teacher) If you have two last names, you will put a hyphen ( - ) between them

Log-In Screen User Type - Student Username - Your Wake ID (first initial, middle initial, full last name… NO @students.wcpss.net) Password - Student number Log-In Screen

Other Google Accounts If you start up Google Drive and your screen looks like this (because of another Google account): You must add your WCPSS Google account by clicking Manage Accounts Your other Google account will not give you access to your WCPSS Google Classrooms

Other Google Accounts Then click on Add Account

Other Google Accounts Now you’re back to the original Google Drive sign-in prompt Enter your WAKE E-MAIL (first initial, middle initial, full last name @students.wcpss.net). Refer to slide 6 for additional information. Password is your lunch number

Joining a Google Classroom To join a class, click the + button in the top right corner You will be required to enter a class code (listed on the next slide)
