RUN16 The last data-taking run of PHENIX 20 cryo weeks 10 weeks of Au+Au @200GeV 5 weeks of d+Au energy scan Starts the cooling-down on 1/19

RUN16: 10 week of Au+Au @200 GeV Complete the Heavy Flavor measurement with VTX/FVTX Approximately double the data set of RUN14 VTX was damaged by the beam accident in RUN15; It is now repaired and is ready to take data Trigger strategy? Luminosity profile? We may want to have flatter luminosity for a long time. At the beginning of a fill, the collision rate in the narrow vertex exceeds our DAQ bandwith (~7kHz)

RUN16: dAu Beam Energy Scan PRL114 RUN14 3He+Au PRL115 RUN15 p+Au QM2015 Complete the study of QGP in small systems Investigate the Onset of perfect fluidity We requested 7 weeks of dAu for 4 energy points (200,62,39,20) in the BUP PAC recommended 5 to 7 weeks 20 week of RUN16  5 weeks for dAu Beam Energy Scan

RUN16: dAu Beam Energy Scan Reduction to 5 weeks of data taking Thanks to the increase of the luminosity at low E, we can do all of 4 energy point in 5 weeks Efficiency at PHENIX side is required Denis presented our case in the Machine/Exp meeting
