Macbeth Act I Quiz

Act I Quiz The play opens at the end of a battle, where the King receives a report of Macbeth’s actions. What is the report? When the witches greet Macbeth and Banquo, they give them prophecies. What are they? After hearing that Malcolm has been named Duncan’s heir to the throne, Macbeth wants the stars to hide their light so his “black and deep desires” might not be seen. To what is he referring? What thoughts about Duncan does Macbeth have that conflict with these “black and deep desires”? What is the plot that Lady Macbeth devises?
