3 KEY IDEAS Formative assessment is best when used for learning (while student can still make changes) Strictly formative assessments mean there is no final mark (no 84%, B+, meets standards) Feedback is a key component of assessment for learning

1 QUESTION If students don't care about learning why would they take formative assessment seriously or at all? How do we empower students to self-assess? Where do we as teachers get time in the classroom when we must cover breadth of content?
