Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) programme (LeDeR) Programme established in response to the recommendations of the Confidential Inquiry into the premature deaths of people with learning disabilities (CIPOLD). It has been commissioned by NHS England, managed by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) – we need to implement this. Diagnosis/ Investigations support GP’s and hospitals reporting repeated DNA’s and referring to learning disability team Establishing Mental Capacity can take time. Break it down. Work in partnership. “They didn’t listen to me’’ - Listen to the person with LD and carers. A behaviour change is communication.
