The Plague of Profanity “Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth.” (Eph. 4:29) Intro: 1. We are exposed to profanity in many places and ways. 2. Men, women, children. “Small” degrees to “large”. 3. How does God expect us to speak?

The Plague of Profanity “Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth.” (Eph. 4:29) I. WHAT IS PROFANITY? A. Irreverence for God “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.” (Exod. 20:7) “Sanctify the Christ as Lord in your hearts; always ready to give an answer to any one who asks your reason for the hope that you cherish, but giving it humbly and in all reverence” (1 Pet. 3:15)
