Transcript Updates OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal Transcript Update instructions available in Community Forum Available under Documentation > General Documentation > Report Card & Transcript Formatter Check with your ITC if you need to have your transcripts updated with the OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal

Ohio Means Jobs Grad Points Optional Graduation Requirements were updated to indicate if a student earned the OhioMeansJobs readiness seal.

17.3.1 EMIS Updates ATTUPEMIS Updated to run both HB410 calculation & EMIS attendance for the district on demand Attendance will be more accurate when submitting EMIS data Faster turn-around on HB410 threshold data

17.3.1 EMIS Updates Updates made to accommodate students attending multiple buildings at the same time Current calculation doesn’t handle them properly No way to know how much time a student spends in each building Results in too much time calculated for the student

Seal of Biliteracy Updates New field on FN Graduate Tab Select all languages that apply Languages will be reported in period G as program codes (program codes not currently available)

Seal of Biliteracy Seal Information on Transcripts Printing specific text is required by law Printing the actual Seal jpeg is optional

Transcript Updates Transcript Requirements for the Seal State law requires the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy to be conferred only at the time of graduation Once seniors have qualified for the award, they may wish to indicate on college applications or to future employers that they’ve qualified for the award Students who have already graduated cannot initiate the process to earn the seal State law requires the following notation of a student’s attainment to be printed on the transcript: <Student Name> is awarded the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating high levels of proficiency in English and <foreign language(s)>”

Transcript Updates Seal of Biliteracy Award conferred on graduating high school seniors who can demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English and at least one world (foreign) language, which includes modern languages, classical languages, American Sign Language and native American Language Transcripts will be updated in the 17.3.2

Transcript Updates What updates are needed? Get the list of all languages the award can be earned for Select all languages applicable for seniors who have earned this credential Update transcript formats to print the text for students who have earned the award and all the languages they’ve earned it for Check out the Ohio Seal of Biliteracy information on ODE’s website

17.3.2 Updates CTRMEMIS Verification updated to exclude courses that are not being reported to EMIS

17.3.2 Updates Add Start & Stop Date overrides to Course section Overrides are being added to allow you to specify a different start and/or stop date for those courses, such as CTE where it is important for funding that students be enrolled in the class on the actual first day of the class and not necessarily the first day of the course term

17.3.2 Updates Remove validation from Community school sponsor IRN field The community school Sponsor IRN field was updated to remove any validation. We don’t get a file with the IRN’s so we have no way to validate them. Enter the IRN’s and then if any are invalid, the data collector will catch them.

17.3.2 Updates Corrected time out issues for: Discemis Majoremis (Issue not occurring at all districts)

17.3.2 Updates Corrected defect #13358 - Error received when removing FS record and when trying to remove any admission history, unable to delete records

End of Course Assessments Make sure End of Course assessment records are added for students who were not tested If ‘Score Not Reported’ requires points to be reported: Enter points in Score field Also enter points earned in Performance Level (Grad points looks at PL and not Score for points)

Attupemis Make sure to run ATTUPEMIS in Update mode before each EMIS submission Ensures most recent attendance is submitted Ensures most recent FT Truancy records are submitted

2018 Graduation Points

Grad Points – Industry Credentials Updates for Fiscal Years 2017 and 2018 17.3.0 & 17.3.1 Additional FY17 and FY18 Industry Credentials have been update in StudentInformation. Some credentials count in multiple areas so when displaying on grad points, you may see an assessment appear multiple times. Grad Point Summary page – Industry Credentials will now display the update credentials and associated earned points

2018 Graduation Points Graduation Points 2018 Optional Pathways SAT Scores Industry Credentials EOC Assessments 17.3.0 RELEASE contains Enhancements & Defect in the following areas 17.3.0 released on 2/19/18 1. Our first area is Graduation Points [STUDENTS GRADUATING IN SCHOOL YEAR 2018 WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING UPDATES AVAILABLE TO THEM] a. 2 Optional Pathways have been added to the Grad Point Summary SAT Scores - UPDATES FOR TEST DATES DURING 2016 Industry Credentials are also updated for FY2017 and 2018 2. Transgender Requirements for graduates of 2018 3. StudentInformation Reports 4. The release also included - BlackDuck changes

Grad Points – 2018 Optional Pathways Option #1 – Graduation Option Student must meet curriculum requirements Take all 7 EOC Assessments Retake EOC Assessments with a score of “1” or “2” in any Math or English Language Arts And 2 of the following 9 options… 17.3.0 - ODE a recent budget bill authorized two additional options are available to students who will be graduates of 2018 These options provide an opportunity for those students who not not otherwise meet one of the three existing pathways - and will allow them to graduate and earn a diploma.  The first pathway…. Option #1 – Graduation Option Student must meet curriculum requirements Take all 7 EOC Assessments Retake EOC Assessments with a score of “1” or “2” in any Math or English Language Arts And 2 of the following 9 options…

Grad Points – 2018 Optional Pathways Option #2 – Career-Technical Option Student must meet curriculum requirements Take all 7 EOC Assessments Finish a career-technical program At least 4 courses in a single career pathway And one of the following 3 options … 17.3.0 - ODE a recent budget bill authorized - two additional options only for students in the class of 2018 who entered 9th grade Fiscal Year 2015. These options provide an opportunity for those students who do not otherwise meet one of the three existing pathways to graduation to earn a diploma.  The first pathway….

Grad Points – Career-Tech Requirements #2 17.3.0 - One of three requirements– Career-Technical Option Earn a total score of proficient on career-tech exams Earn an industry-recognized credential /or equal to 12 points Complete a workplace experience totaling 250 hours /positive evaluation
