Raymond John Kaskey and Nick Benson Kaskey was born in 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA. He is an American sculpture. He currently has a studio at this address Kaskey Studio, Inc. 3804 38th Street, Brentwood, Md. 20722. Raymond created the bronze eagles for the arch. Nicholas Benson was born August 19, 1964 in Rhode Island. He is known for stone carving and typography. He is currently living life in Rhode Island with his wife and two kids.

Symbolic of the defining event of the 20th Century, the memorial is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of the American people. Symbolism

History of this Amazing Piece The World War II Memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S., there are more than 350,000 who died, and all who supported the war effort from home.

Publication, Components, Foundation, and Category The National World War II Memorial started being built in 2001 and wasn’t showed to the public until May 29, 2004. The Memorial can be found at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The Memorial is made up of 56 granite pillars, triumphal arches on each side, water, and the beautiful bronze eagles.
