France 1940

Battle Of Britain German Victory Parade

The Battle Of Britain Hitler began to bomb British shipyards, industries, and cities. Entire neighborhoods were destroyed, killing many civilians. Hitler wanted to break the morale of the British people before invading. In reality, we are not sure if Hitler ever had any intent to invade Great Britain, or if he simply hoped they would surrender.

The Battle Of Britain

Winston Churchill “ We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.” Prime Minister Of Great Britain- Winston Churchill

Lend-Lease Program Lend-Lease Program America would sell, lend , or lease arms or other war supplies . Great Britain would use this program for much needed supplies. Many Americans who favored Isolationism were angered by this program
