Professional Learning Vision Rediscover what it means to be a “Distinguished Academy” within the National Academy Foundation.

Professional Learning Vision Provide 2-3 opportunities per semester for teachers to observe their peers. Use Effective Learning Environments Observation Tool (ELEOT) to provide feedback regarding student engagement. Gather great ideas to enhance your craft!

Observing Your Peers Use Sub Days once per Semester 1 sub day to cover 7 teachers; one period each 5 sub days to complete all faculty Convert one traditional Wednesday PD time per semester to “Planning” Use one regularly scheduled plan period during the week to observe a peer.

Professional Learning by Teachers 4 Teachers In the year ahead, we invite you to present professional learning within faculty meetings or department meetings. Twice per semester, we will use our Faculty/PLC time to share best practices with each other as a faculty. We will share among departments more frequently.
