The journalistic six The Journalistic Six is a creative technique that asks the following questions: Who? Why? What? Where? When? How? This can be applied to new business ideas. By questioning the issues the entrepreneur can think of ways to solve any problems that might arise due to the answers. 1.2.3 What questions do entrepreneurs ask

The journalistic six An idea might be to produce fashionable 3D glasses Who would buy the 3D glasses? Pub and cinema goers, Why would they buy it? 3D TV has taken off in pubs alongside 3D cinema What would its purpose be? Functional – to watch 3D, whilst looking fashionable Where would they sell it? Opticians, pubs, cinemas When would they sell it? At times of big sporting events/3D cinema releases How would they sell it? Journalistic six – your turn You will need to work in pairs. One of you will play the entrepreneur, the other a journalist from the Financial Times. You are writing an article regarding a new product.   Draw a diagram of your new product.  The journalist will ask you the journalistic six questions regarding your product. Ask two questions for each of the Journalistic Six. Make notes of the answers given by the entrepreneur.
